Billrooster

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

Short version: Billrooster needs an account, and the bills you enter are stored on our servers so they can reach your other devices and so we can remind you. We do not run trackers or advertising pixels, we never ask for banking logins, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

What we collect

Being straight with you about access

Your bills are encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest by our database provider, and the database is configured so that no other customer can read your rows. But this is not end-to-end encryption: we hold the keys to our own database, which means the operator of Billrooster is technically able to read what you store. Any earlier version of this page that said otherwise was wrong, and this sentence is here so you can judge the product accurately. Don't enter full bank account numbers, card numbers or passwords — the app is not designed to hold them, and it never needs them.

What we don't do

Cookies

Billrooster does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The app keeps your bills and your sign-in session in your browser's own storage so it works offline and remembers you between visits.

Who else handles your information

These are the companies involved in running Billrooster, and what each one does:

If we add another provider, or start using one for something new, we will name it here before that change reaches you.

How long we keep it

Your bills stay until you delete them or close your account. Deleting a bill removes it from your device and from our database. Choosing Erase everything in Settings removes all of your bills and payment history from both, and Delete my account removes the account itself along with everything attached to it. Records we must keep for accounting — the fact that a payment happened, held by Stripe — are retained as long as the law requires.

Your data, your control

Children

Billrooster is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, we'll update the date at the top and describe the change here.
